My husband and I have brought our dog to the Dog Bar 5 times. Overall, we are generally happy with the grooming, but they have now charged our 23 lb cocker spaniel as a large breed for the last 3 times. The first two times we came they charged us $10 more...5 for a medium size breed as she is. However, our 3rd and 4th time they charged us as a large breed at $125 (when checking out they didn’t tell me the price and just had me scan my card; my mistake for not asking). As they are a small business I didn’t feel like going back and fighting them for the extra $20, but when my husband and I brought our dog this time we asked for this to be corrected before the grooming started. The gentleman at the front desk acted like it would be no problem, however, when we picked up our dog he told us we needed to be charged as a large breed. We told him that we didn’t think that made sense since she had been charged as a medium breed her first two grooms and was under 25 lbs and has to go into the small dog park. We ended up paying the large dog price of $130 (prices have also gone up $5 since our last visit), but we felt this was inaccurate as cocker spaniels are considered medium size dogs and she’s 23 lbs. I had an appointment for yesterday at 11, I made this reservation two weeks ago, they asked me for all kinds of information about my dog ​​(weight, breed, etc.) To my surprise when I arrived they told me that they could not bathe her because the more...girl who was going to bathe her had had surgery. I thought it was in very bad taste since the normal thing would have been for them to call me to cancel the appointment, but no... when I arrived at the place they told me that they could not see my dog. The store has an overpowering dirty wet dog smell, which is unfortunate. Maybe the owner is used to it and can’t smell it anymore? The groomer did not follow instructions so well and did not touch the hair around my dog’s face and did not give he more...r a puppy cut as requested. I was partly to blame because I did not express my dissatisfaction immediately as I was in a hurry when picking up my dog. When I returned the next day to ask if the groomer could trim around my dog’s muzzle I was told I’d have to return on the day that the same groomer was at the store, 5 days later, but I was traveling and leaving Miami two days later with my dog. Customer service could be better by offering another solution as I was willing to willing to tip the groomer (again) for trimming my dog’s muzzle. Anyway, there are tons of mobile groomers available and I will not return to Dog Bar. less...

I love the cool stylish vibe there. Steve the owner is always happy to chat about your pooch. And make suggestions. My poodle gets groomed there too.
