This is the third time I've utilized Jan's services. I'm pretty picky about my groomers and thus usually groom my dogs myself, however pregnancy and severe sickness have dictated me turning that job over to a pro. First thing I look for: DO THEY CUT more... THE NAILS TOO SHORT, or do they cut them appropriately to a healthy length. Jan's does. No stiptic powder that I've been able to see, always cut just before the quick, very well done. Second thing I look for: DOES THE GROOMER CORRECTLY CLEAN THE EARS. Jan's does. No deep cleaning down in the canal and no leather buzzing, they clean/pluck the obvious culprits and leave the proper micro-environment of the deep ear alone. Third thing I look for: DOES MY DOG SEEM TO MIND GOING BACK. My poodle is always suspicious of anywhere not her house, but she never enters Jan's seeming fearful, and she always emerges happy as a clam. Lastly, DOWS THE GROOMER LISTEN TO WHAT I ASK FOR: again, Jan's does. They make sure to take detailed notes on what I want style- and cut- wise for my dog, and they don't take liberties. The pricing for my size dog is MORE than fair for a full bath/groom/cut/nail trim/anal glands/and ear cleaning, and the longest I've had to wait was 3 hours. 5 stars and above for Jan's, will be sorry to lose their services when we move next spring. less...

Iv'e been coming to Jans Grooming for years. Megan our groomer knows how to deal with all types, temperaments, and quarantine puppies too. Our 2 year old lab warms up to her very easily and does super well and looks and smells fabulous.

Wonderful staff. They treat my big pup so good.
